It is such amazing experience to see the gorillas in their natural habitat in Volcanoes national park in Rwanda. Don’t miss this experience, at least book a 2 day gorilla trek that will allow you see gorillas and visit Gisozi genocide museum in Kigali.
Day 1. Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Our representative will meet you at the hotel in Kigali and transfer for a city tour to Gisozi genocide memorial center, later head north-wards to Volcanoes national park, also known as parc National des Volcans. The journey is amazing as you are able to see the magnificent hills, well terraced and having a breath taking view of valleys the five peaks of the Virunga Mountains. On arrival, you will check in Muhabura Hotel / Hotel La Palme / Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge / Virunga Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Departure
Early in the morning, together with the necessary tracking gear and packed lunch, you will move to the park headquarters for briefing, before proceeding with the ranger guides for the memorable adventure.
The trek will take you through steed slopes and thick forest trails, and may take 2-7 hours depending on the movement of the giants in their natural environment. The activity is quite strenuous, but worth undertaking. A maximum of one hour will be allowed with the Gorillas. After tracking, you will descend to the park headquarters / lodge and then embark on the journey back to Kigali where the tour ends.
